I'm definitely not a dress designer, but from experience I can give this advice :

Bride's, when you go for your dress fitting, take your shoes with and WALK with your dress. Many a bride came down the aisle, tripping over her dress (and we have proof on DVD). It’s both embarrassing and uncomfortable for the bride. At the end of the day you will need one hand to hold the flowers and the other to pick up the dress (and that is how you will spend the rest of the day).
